Wanger Associates is a public relations counseling agency specializing in marketing communications, media relations, and crisis communications, primarily for nonprofit organizations. Clients include educational institutions, health care organizations, foundations, seafood companies, organizations in the work/life field, elder care companies, and social service agencies. The agency was founded in 1985.

Barry Wanger, the firm's founder, is a former president of the Northeast District and Boston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and is one of only a few pr practitioners in Massachusetts to be elected to the Society's College of Fellows.

He has also served as an adjunct professor in public relations at Boston University. Barry is a former newspaper editor and director of public affairs for The National Endowment for the Humanities, Brandeis University, Wheelock College, and the University of California at Santa Barbara.
